Serbia: minister urges Chinese to invest in infrastructures

Belgrade actively participates in 'One Belt One Road' project

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic urged Chinese investors and companies to participate and invest in infrastructural projects in the Balkan countries. Vujovic spoke in Beijing at the conference 'Macroeconomic and fiscal framework for the successful implementation of the One Belt One Road initiative', a press release of the Serbian government said. At the conference, Vujovic noted that Serbia actively participates in the One Belt One Road initiative by developing road and rail projects, linking Southern Europe with Central Europe and within the Western Balkans. Among the priority sectors for Serbia, Vujovic mentioned also environmental protection projects, such as wastewater treatment and hot water supply system, and energy, with thermal power plants.
