Sustainable mobility project shared by 5 regions

(ANSA) - ANCONA, OCT. 5 - Marche Region, Andalusia (Spain), Blekinge Region (Sweden), Municipality of Miskolc in the County of Rank (Hungary) and North West Regional Development Agency (Romania), will start the European Interreg-Tram Project. The initiative will last five years, with a 1,264 million euro budget, funded by European resources, and fits in the subject of sustainable mobility. ''It is necessary that local governments, businesses, universities and citizens work together in order to develop new sustainable mobility patterns - Environment councillor Angelo Sciapichetti said - and Tram Project, having a medium-term perspective, goes in the right direction, taking the opportunity for inter-regional cooperation at European level''. The top five European good practices on Sustainable Urban Mobility, identified by the partners of the project will be presented at the Region headquarters on October 7. (ANSA).
