Serbia, railway to Bar, works funded by Russian loan

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - The works on the Serbian section of the railway line to Bar harbour (Montenegro) will begin by the end of the year. This is what Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic announced, adding that works will be financed by a 200 million dollar Russian loan. ''It will take at least 12 months to improve this infrastructure'' (about 200 km), the minister added. According to Zorana Mihajlovic, the average speed of trains could be increased up to 80-100 km per hour, compared to current 40 km per hour. (ANSA).
