Tourism: the Austrians spend 2bn euros in Italy

Growth hits record high in the South

(ANSA) - BOLZANO/BOZEN, JANUARY 15 - Austrian tourists continue to love Italy. According to ENIT data, they spent 2 billion euros last year on their stay in the country. The Austrians remain fond of tourist destinations in Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Trentino Alto Adige. Thanks to the new air links between Vienna, Naples, Bari, and Catania - according to ENIT - southern Italy has recorded a big increase in Austrian tourists. (ANSA).
