Serbia: new Italian investment in Vojvodina

Companies Fiorano and Matteo soon at Kula

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - Italy's Fiorano, underwear and swimwear manufacturer, is about to open a production plant in the industrial area of Kula, northern Serbia. The company - ICE's office in Belgrade reported - plans to hire 300 workers.

Another Italian company, Matteo, within 6 months will begin its activities and produce shoe uppers, said the President of the Municipality of Kula, Milojcic, speaking with local media.

According to ICE, the Italian company Miroglio bought at the public auction the Pirot-based factory AHA Mura Prvi Maj in bankruptcy (southern Serbia), for 200 million dinars (1.7mn euros). (ANSA).
