Innovation: deal to favor a network of research centers

Network Oisair, agreement between partners signed in Ljubljana

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, JUNE 7 - The OISAIR network, founded today in Ljubljana by signing of the Collaboration Agreement between the partners of the OISAIR project (Open Innovation System of the Adriatic-Ionian Region), aims to create a permanent relationship between the innovation centers in the Adriatic-Ionian area and promote technology transfer, collaboration between research bodies and innovation in companies focusing on mobility and transport, energy and environment, agro and bio-economic, cultural and creative industry, intelligent medicine.

Made up of 7 project partners from six different countries (Area Science Park, University of Basilicata, National Chamber of Croatian Economy, Belgrade Technology Park, Ljubljana Technology Park, Albanian Ministry of Finance and Economy, Certh - Greek Center for research and technology), the network is supported by the Innovair platform, a virtual innovation market.

The network will be enhanced according to a "Hub and Spoke" operating model which sees Area Science Park as the protagonist in the intermediation phase between innovation demand and supply in the Adrion area.

"Creating a solid and permanent network that is able to work in synergy to improve the capacity for innovation and cooperation between research infrastructures and companies in the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region is essential to enhance economic growth and competitiveness not only in FVG, but across the whole country", said Sergio Paoletti, president of Area Science Park, on the sidelines of the agreement. "The expertise gained over the years by Area in technology transfer and research enhancement - he added - will be made available to the entire network so that the conditions are created to develop new international research projects and offer greater opportunities for the centers based in these territories".
