Expo, champion Tina Maze for Slovenia's National Day

Skier visited the pavilions with Premier Cerar

(ANSA) - MILAN - Olympic sports visited the Expo thanks to Tina Maze, Slovenian skier, downhill and giant slalom Olympic champion. The athlete, testimonial of her country at the Universal Exhibition, visited yesterday the Expo on the occasion of Slovenia's National Day. Maze said she was ''happy to participate in this important day. Slovenia - she added - is a very active country, environmentally friendly. Our pavilion at Milan's Expo effectively represents all these characteristics''.

Accompanied on his visit by Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar, Tina Maze met with Commissioner of the Government of Italy for Expo Milano 2015 Giuseppe Sala and received two ''wellness balls'' as a gift from Technogym, before continuing her walk along the 'decumanus' and her journey to discover the Expo's pavilions.
