(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 02 OCT - Hungary is introducing a new
promotion system to attract more technology-orientated
investment projects in the country, the Hungarian minister of
Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto announced.
Among the novelties of the program, the new system no longer
cites job creation as a prerequisite for receiving state
funding, the government said.
"From now on, the government will also be able to provide
funding towards investment projects that bring new processes,
procedures and technologies into Hungary, and which increase the
added value of existing workplaces", Szijjarto said. The final
goal is to make Hungary more competitive on the global level and
to "ensure that decisions on technology-orientated investment
projects are also made in favor of Hungary". (ANSA).
