(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, 14 JAN - "We expect Serbia to act in line and in consistence with its EU commitment to regional cooperation and stabilisation," an EU spokesperson said today referring to Vladimir Putin's forthcoming visit to Belgrade. The Russian President will pay visit to Serbia on Thursday 17th, and will meet with the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

"As President Vucic has repeatedly stated: EU integration is Serbia's strategic priority", said the EU spokesperson, underlining that "in order to progress on the EU integration path, Serbia has to progressively align with the EU Common Foreign and Security policy also with regard to Russia."
