(ANSA) - BRUXELLES, 12 NOV - "Any decision to add or amend
any current restrictive measures" against Russia "is for the
Council to take with unanimity," and "Ukraine will be on the
agenda of the next Foreign Affairs Council", which will be held
on November 19th in Brussels, EU spokesperson Maja Kocijancic
said today, after the so-called elections in Ukrainians rebel
Republics of the Donbass' region. The elections were convened by
the pro-Russian separatists and are considered by the EU as
"illegal and illegitimate".
"We will not recognise them, there's a clear breach of
international law, they undermine the commitments undertaken
under Minsk's agreement and violate Ukraine's sovereignty and
law", EU spokesperson added.(ANSA).
