Visegrad-Vienna axis for external border defence
Orban expresses 'shared hopes' for Austria's EU presidency

(ANSA) -BERLIN - The Visegrad group of countries and Austria agree that "Europe needs to be able to protect its (external) borders and to guarantee security for its citizens," Hungarian premier Viktor Orban said on Thursday.
"We hope that after the Austrian presidency Europe will be a stronger and fairer community than it is today," Orban continued. "And that the EU is safer, these are our shared hopes," he concluded.
Austria assumes the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union on July 1. (ANSA).
