(ANSA) - BELGRADE - How to strengthen the collaboration between Serbia and Romania in the political, economic and military fields, along with Bucharest's support for Serbia's path for EU accession were the issues on the table at the talks that Serbian defense minister Aleksandar Vulin had on Tuesday in Bucharest with his Romanian counterpart Mihaj Viorel Fifor and the premier Viorika Dancila. In the meetings, according to local media, it was pointed out that Serbia and Romania are guarantors of peace and stability in the Balkans.

The Romanian leadership has expressed support for Serbia's policy of military neutrality, reiterating the its opposition to recognizing Kosovo's independence and accepting the creation of a regular army in Kosovo. Romania is one of the five EU member countries that do not recognize Pristina's independence, along with Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Slovakia. (ANSA).
