Italy-Slovenia: president Pahor visiting Rome

Talks with Mattarella, Pope will receive him in audience

(ANSA) - LJUBLJANA, MAY 29 - Slovenia's president, Borut Pahor will be in Rome today for a two-day visit which is part of the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to a statement issued by the presidential bureau, Pahor will meet tomorrow Italy's president Sergio Mattarella in order to talk about current affairs and the European agenda. In the afternoon, the Pope will receive him in audience. In the new premises of the Slovenian Embassy in Italy, Pahor will also meet the two MPs (Democratic Party) Tatjana Rojc, representative of the Slovenian minority in Italy, and Tommaso Cerno. Pahor will participate today in a charity event of the Missionary Congregation organized by Slovenia, Monaco and Argentina, which will also be attended by Prince Albert II of Monaco and the Argentinian Foreign Minister, Jorge Marcelo Faurie.
