(ANSA) - BRUXELLES, 18 GEN - The president of Serbia Aleksander Vucic and the president of Kosovo Hashim Thaci, "spoke over the phone yesterday late in the afternoon and agreed to continue the EU facilitated dialogue to further normalise the relations" between Belgrade and Pristina, EU spokesperson Maja Kocijancic said today in Brussels.

After Serb politician Oliver Ivanovic was slain in front of his office in northern Mitrovica in Kosovo, the two presidents spoke directly "about the murder" and "agreed that the assassination must be investigated and the perpetrators brought to justice without delay". It's important for Kosovo police to investigate "in line with the dialogue agreement on justice", EU spokesperson added.

Eulex is not working on the investigation now but it is committed to "support authorities in accordance with its mandate" Kocijancic pointed out. Vucic will pay visit to Kosovo on Saturday and Sunday.(ANSA).
