Latvia: construction of a new university campus has begun
EIB has directly provided a loan of up to 30 mln euros

(ANSA) - BRUXELLES - The foundation stone has been laid at
the University of Latvia, in Riga, marking the start of
construction of its new campus. The project was announced in
July by the European Commission, and the European Investment
Bank (EIB) has provided a loan of up to 30 million euros to the
university.
The new campus, the 'Academic Centre', will host state-of-the-art research and study facilities. (ANSA).
