Bulgaria: Tusk calls Borissov and takes stock of Macedonia

EU Council President congratulates on PM's reappointment

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS - EU Council president Donald Tusk in a congratulatory phone call with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, also discussed the situation in Macedonia, Tusk reported in a note.

''I am confident that your government will bring to Bulgaria the stability that favours the country's continued development, as well as the EU's growth'', Tusk wrote. ''As a member of the EU and next chairman of the Council of the European Union (in the first half of 2018), Bulgaria plays a particularly active role in supporting stability and enhancing of democratic processes'' in neighbouring countries, Eu Council president said.
