Hungary spent Eur 257 mln for managing migrant flux in 2015

Currently 2.200 migrants present on national territory

(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Hungary spent 257 million euros on managing the migrant flux in 2015, the prime minister's chief national security advisor, György Bakondi, said in a press conference.

At the moment there are around 2,200 migrants present on the national territory, he said. Between Thursday and Friday, the Hungarian border police arrested 40 persons who tried to enter the country illegally. Bakondi announced that the Hungarian police officers will join their colleagues from Austria, Czech Republic and Poland in protecting the border between Macedonia and Greece in mid March.
