Vucic officially appointed as Serbia prime minister

Ministers' team will be presented by April 27

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - Aleksandar Vucic, conservative leader, president of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and winner of the general election on March 16, was officially assigned the task of forming the new government by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic. Vucic met the representatives of some political forces in recent days; in addition to the SNS, the Socialist Party (SPS) of the outgoing Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and the party of the Hungarian minority in Vojvodina (Svm) have so far given their consent to join the new government. The appointed premier has pledged that the new government will be formed by April 27. It will be a leaner government, with no more than 17 ministers, including several specialists and experts.(ANSA).
