(ANSA) - BELGRADE, FEBRUARY 25 - Prime Ministers of six
Balkans nations still not part of the EU met at the Western
Balkans Investment Summit organized by the European Bank for
Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London on Monday.
Ana Brnabic (Serbia), Albin Kurti (Kosovo), Dusko Markovic
(Montenegro), Edi Rama (Albania), Oliver Spasovski (North
Macedonia) and Zoran Tegeltija (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
discussed the current situation in the region and future
developments with EBRD President Sir Suma Chakrabarti, the Bank
said in a statement.
Monday's summit was the fourth such event since the EBRD
launched the format in 2014.
Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenkovic, whose country
currently holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the
European Union, was also present at the summit and talked of
Croatia's efforts for the six months of its presidency to
facilitate and accelerate the path of all Western Balkans
neighbours towards EU membership. All prime ministers discussed
also of major connectivity programmes already underway and about
attracting new investments in the region. EBRD invested 13
billion in the Balkans so far, the Bank said. (ANSA).
