(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 14 FEB - The gross domestic product in
Hungary was up by 4.5% according to raw data in the fourth
quarter of 2019, compared to the same period of 2018, the
Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a flash
estimate today. Market-based services contributed to the growth
in more significant terms, while industry and construction to a
lesser extent, the KSH noted.
In 2019, GDP in Hungary rose by 4.9% compared to a year
earlier, the statistical office added.
In 2020, the Hungarian economy is expected to slow down, with
domestic consumption remaining strong, but growth of investments
is to be lower, Erste Group Research said today. Erste
forecasted that the economy in Hungary is set to grow by 3.6% in
