Germany: September, trade surplus 19.2bn, export grows

The increase is higher than expected. Recession fears are fading

08 November, 16:58
(ANSA) - ROME, NOVEMBER 8 - The German trade surplus stood at € 19.2 billion in September. Exports rose by 1.5% (the highest percentage since November 2017) and imports by 1.3%. The increases are higher than analysts' estimates, which had predicted an amount of 18.3bn euros and an increase in exports of just 0.4%. Thus the fears of a possible recession in the most important European economy are now fading. (ANSA).
