(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCTOBER 8 - The highest annual increases
in house prices at European Union level in the second quarter of
2019 were recorded in Hungary (+14.0%), Luxembourg (+11.4%) and
Croatia (+10.4%), data from the EU statistical office Eurostat
show.
In average, house prices rose by 4.2% in both the euro area
and the EU in the second quarter of 2019 compared with the same
quarter of the previous year, Eurostat informed.
In Central- and Eastern Europe, increases in house prices
were recorded also in Latvia (+9.0%), Czechia (+8.7%), Slovakia
(+8.3%), Poland (+8.2%), Lithuania (+6.6%), Slovenia (+5.8%),
Bulgaria (+5%) and Romania (+1.8%), show data from Eurostat.
In the second quarter of 2019 house prices fell in Italy by
0.2% year-on-year. (ANSA).
