Kosovo: two opposition parties leading in snap elections

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 07 OCT - Two opposition parties emerged as the top-vote getters in Kosovo's Sunday snap general elections. With more than 95% of the votes counted by the Kosovo Election Commission by Monday morning, the Albin Kurti's Self-Determination (Vetevendosje) Movement Party, (LVV, left-wing nationalists) had won 25.74% of the votes, followed by the center-right Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), with 25.05%.

The former governing conservative Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) of Kadri Veseli got 21.15%, followed by its former governing ally, Alliance for Kosovo's Future (AAK) of the outgoing Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, with 11.6%. (ANSA).
