Serbia: Chinese Tencent considering country for data centre
Further meetings to discuss company plans

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUGUST 29 - The Chinese company Tencent is
considering Serbia for a data centre of its cloud platform, the
specialized portal SeeNews reported, quoting information for the
Serbian government.
The Tencent Cloud data center would represent the backbone of
the company's infrastructure in Eastern Europe, the government
said, adding that Tencent is also considering the introduction
of its WeChat Pay service in Serbia, SeeNews said. The Serbian
and Tencent have agreed to held further meetings to discuss the
details of the company's plans in Serbia.
Tencent is a major Chinese company specialized in technology and Internet-related services. (ANSA).
