Croatia: +10.6% foreign cruise ships visits

Dubrovnik the most popular destination, followed by Split, Zadar

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUGUST 8 - The number of journeys of foreign cruise ships to Croatia increased by 10.6% in the first six months of 2019, with the number of passengers onboard up 14.8%, according to new data made public by the Croatian statistical office (Dzs) today.

In the first six months of the year, 54 foreign vessels on cruise arrived at Croatian seaports, realising 272 journeys, with 409,000 passengers on boards, Dzs said. The majority of visits of foreign vessels on cruise were realised in the port of Dubrovnik (195 visits), followed by Split (104 visits) and Zadar (45 visits), the statistical office noted. The highest number of cruises was realised by vessels under the flags of Malta (72 cruises) and Italy (45 cruises), Dzs said. (ANSA).
