(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 09 APR - The Serbian defence industry
exported around 796 million euros-worth items, in particular
firearms and ammunition, in 2018, according to Nenad
Miloradovic, an advisor for material resources to the minister
of Defence, quoted by local media.
"The exports of the ten state-owned defence industry
factories rose by 13.9%, whereas the total value of export
permits, not only those of the ten state-owned companies,
amounted to $897 million," Miloradovic was quoted as saying, the
specialized portal SeeNews reported.
Last year, the highest amount of permits was issued in
relation to exports to United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the
US, Bulgaria, Romania, Belgium, Cyprus and Germany. (ANSA).
