Italy-Czech Rep.: trade hits record high

Historic result, 13bn euros in 2018

(ANSA) - ROME - Trade relations between Italy and the Czech Republic are very good and have high growth potential. That is what the Italian Ambassador in Prague Francesco Saverio Nisio said on the occasion of the signing of a memorandum of collaboration between the Italo-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CAMIC) and the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic (HKCR - Hospodarska komora Ceske Republiky) which was held at the Florentinum in Prague.

According to estimates made by the Czech Statistical Office, the trade between the two countries hit its record high, 13bn ìeuros, il 2018 with an increase of 3.3%, whereas Italian imports in the Czech Republic have increased by 5.4%, totaling 6.4bn euros. The president of CAMIC Gianfranco Pinciroli and the president of HKCR Vladimir Dlouhy signed the new collaboration agreement at the opening of the ''Consumer 4.0 - Global trends in retail'' conference. Among the speakers were Alessandro Pasquale (CEO Karlovarske mineralni vody), Alessandro Zanotti (Digital Customer & Channels lead, Accenture Italy and Central Europe), Aleksandar Keselj (managing director of Ferrero Czech Republic) and Leonardo Ferrandino (president of the Dr. Max Pharma).
