(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 29 GEN - Bosnia and Herzegovina lost around 250,000 people in working age in the last ten years, according to a study of the National agency for statistics (Bhas), the news portal Klix reported.

According to the Labour Force Survey produced by the Agency, Bosnia and Herzegovina has a working-age population of 2,396 million currently, while in 2008 it was 2,649 million.

The portal said that the country lost 93,000 working-age person only in the last two years. Bosnia, together with other countries in the Western Balkans, is severely affected by emigration towards richer European countries. Official data recently made public by the German authorities show that around 50,000 citizens moved from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Germany between 2016 and 2017. (ANSA).
