(ANSA) - TIRANA, JAN 15 - The ministerial meeting of the CEI
countries will take place in Trieste in June, Italy's foreign
minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi announced today in Tirana, where
he is making a state visit.
''I chose to make this announcement in Tirana as a sign of
friendship'', Moavero said. Albania, along with 17 other
countries, is a member of the Central European Initiative, of
which Italy holds the presidency. ''This forum is extremely
important in terms of dialogue, joint actions, analysis of
issues, for countries that share the perspective of the central
and eastern Mediterranean, one of world's most crucial area,
very important from the political point of view, even in terms
of conflicts, but also from an economic and commercial point of
view'', Italy's minister explained. (ANSA).
