Enlisting procedures will be open until 7th February 2019

(ANSA) - BRUXELLES, JANUARY 10 - Albania opened the procedures to form the new Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) in the country.

"Prosecutors have a chance to provide their decisive input to the fight against corruption and organised crime by applying to become members of SPAK. We strongly encourage competent and committed prosecutors to apply before 7 February 2019", EU Ambassador to Albania, Luigi Soreca, wrote on his Twitter account to call up Albanian prosecutors to become members of the new Special Prosecution Office.

The office is part of the Albanian justice reform wanted by the EU to open its door to Tirana. There are 15 vacancies available to Albanian prosecutors. In December 2018 Tirana's government established the Albanian Supreme Prosecutors' Council as part of the justice reform.(ANSA).
