Czech Republic: Babis, possible cabinet reshuffle

After criticism of Tok and Petricek expressed by communists

02 January, 18:49
(ANSA) - PRAGUE, JAN 2 - Czech prime minister Andrej Babis, leader of ANO, does not rule out a cabinet reshuffle in 2019, local media reported, citing an interview on Czech Television.

The possible reshuffle is due to criticism of the work done by the Minister of Transport Dan Tok (ANO) and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Tomas Petricek (CSSD) expressed by the Communist Party, which provides external support to the ruling ANO-CSSD coalition. The criticism of Ťok, according to the head of the Communist party Vojtech Filip, is mainly due to the situation of the D1 motorway. As for Tomas Petricek, the communists disagree with the support of Ukraine in the conflict with Russia. At the moment, the Social Democrats seem to be resistant to change. The leader Jan Hamacek expressed his disagreement with the replacement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. (ANSA).
