Montenegro: huge majority supporting EU integration

66% for entering the Union, one third think 2025

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 18 DIC - Almost 66% of citizens in Montenegro support the country joining the EU, while only 23.5% are against, according to a new survey of the agency Defakto, made public today. The survey revealed that, in a referendum about the EU entry, 86% of respondents would vote in favor, only 14% voting against.

One third of respondent said to think that Montenegro will become an EU member by 2025. More than 67% of respondents said that they have a positive view of the EU, "the highest percentage since 2013," said on Twitter Aivo Orav, EU Ambassador & Head of Delegation to Montenegro. (ANSA).
