(ANSA) - BRUXELLES, OCTOBER 30 - Since last week, about 200 people are stuck at the border crossing Maljevac, in northern Bosnia-Herzegovina, hoping to enter Croatia and continue their journey to Europe. The European Commission is "aware of the situation and follows the developments closely", a EU spokesperson said today, pointing out that for now Brussels is "in regular contact with all Member States and countries along the Western Balkans route to coordinate actions" to manage migration flows.

"Negotiations are ongoing with Bosnia and Herzegovina" for an agreement to strengthen the European Border and Coast Guard presence on the ground and "assist in managing their borders when needed", the EU spokesperson added.(ANSA).
