Tourism: Balkans, countries plan joint travel routes

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Turkey will work to develop join touristic routes to attract more tourist from abroad, the Bulgarian deputy Minister of Tourism Lyuben Kanchev said, Radio Bulgaria reported.

Kanchev noted that the aim of initiative is to provide more choices to tourists coming from distant destinations and that the idea will be further discussed at a conference in Sofia in November.

The deputy minister informed that Bulgaria received 7.2% more tourist year-on-year between January and August and 4.5% more revenues. (ANSA).
