Tourism:Albania and Slovenia among 'best value' destinations
Lonely Planet, places for 'affordable adventures'
25 October, 10:16Albania was chosen among the "ten places made for affordable adventures" by Lonely Planet for next year, indicating that the country has to offer "some superb beaches, a unique history and none of the crowds of Montenegro to the north or Greece to the south. Albania has also an "exciting food scene", "archeological sites" and a "buzzy capital", Tirana.
Lonely Planet said that Slovenia is a "great value bet for anyone who's after the continent's highlights but is short on time or funds." The country offers the possibility to tour in "a single day you" a "Venetian-tinged seaside town, cross Alpine passes and dine by the river in the heart of Ljubljana." Among the top ten, Lonely Planet included also the "ambitious post-industrial" Polish city of Lodz. (ANSA).
