Montenegro: media, Italian request for Diciotti migrants

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 30 AGO - The Italian government asked
Montenegro, still not a member of the EU, to take in some
migrants of the Diciotti ship, but the Montenegrin government
has not discussed the topic yet, local media reported.
"The Italian embassy has contacted the Foreign ministry" of Montenegro in relation to the "potential reception of some of the migrants of the Diciotti ship, but the Montenegrin government still did not decide" the request, a government spokesperson, Srdjan Kusovac, told the newsportal Cdm on Wednesday.
No similar request was sent to Serbia, the Serbia Commissioner for Refugees and Migration Vladimir Cucic said.
