Bulgaria: poll, ruling GERB still leading party

Socialist party at second place, many voters would abstain

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - If elections would be held in Bulgaria today, the ruling GERB party would get 24.8 per cent of the votes and the Bulgarian Socialist Party 20.5 per cent, a new poll showed, the Bulgaria news agency BTA reported.

The survey, conducted by the agency Mediana, revealed that the junior government partner United Patriots stands at 9.7 per cent, while the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) would get 8.3 per cent of the votes. A high number of people (22.3%) said it would eventually not go to vote. (ANSA).
