Transport: EIB considers investments on Serbian rivers

Around 100 million euro for infrastructures

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - The European Investment Bank (BEI) is considering to provide financing for overhauling the river transport infrastructure in Serbia, the specialized news portal SeeNews reports, quoting the bank's head for the Western Balkans, Dubravka Negre.

The total investment could be worth about 100 million euro, Negre was quoted as saying. Negre noted that part of the financing will be provided through European Union grants. The EIB is now in the process of approving a loan for the project and to identify works to be performed in the project, SeeNews added.(ANSA).
