(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 05 MAR - The influential British newspaper The Guardian has included four Croatian beaches among the best 25 in Europe, in an article recently published online.

The Guardian has mostly selected areas not touched by mass tourism. The four Croatian beaches are Sveti Jakob, in Dubrovnik, Posedarje, near Zadar, Pupnatska Luka, on the island of Korcula and Livacina, on Rab. The Guardian described Sveti Jakob as a "good escape from Croatia's most popular tourist destination." Posedarje is praised for the "family atmosphere and beautifully clear water." The newspaper said also that Pupnatska Luka is "one of the most heavenly" in Korcula, and Livacina is an "intimate bay, backed by pine forests, lively and fun." (ANSA).
