Construction: De Eccher to build Gazprom Minsk headquarters

$630mn contract, work expected to last 36 months

(ANSA) - UDINE - Friuli-based construction company Rizzani de Eccher, through its subsidiary Codest, has signed with Gazprom Transgaz Belarus the contract for the construction of multifunctional centre which is worth about 630mn dollars and will host the headquarters of the oil group in Minsk (Belarus).

The construction work, which will be partly paid in a lump sum and partly ''cost plus fee'', is expected to last 36 months. Designed by Russia's Vips and US Aecom, the complex consists of a 35-storey tower enclosed by a fully glazed facade, a 5-star and 204-room Radisson Blu hotel and conference centre for about 1,600 people, 4 residential and office buildings, a shopping mall with 11 restaurants, a medical centre and a sports centre.

The whole complex covers an area of 261,000 square metres, of which approximately 110,000 underground, and the total volume is of 1,335,000 cubic metres.

Rizzani De Eccher has been operating in the CIS area for over 30 years and has carried out over 100 projects. The most important, nearing completion, is the ''Dynamo Vtb Arena and Park'' which includes stadium, arena, shopping mall and 15 buildings, including the new Hyatt Regency. (ANSA).
