Informal meeting of ministers of the Visegrad Group

In Budapest, plus Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Slovenia

(ANSA) - BUDAPEST - An informal meeting of ministers of the Visegrad Group countries plus Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Slovenia responsible for cohesion, hold in Budapest, with the partecipation, also, the European Commissioner in charge of budget and human resources, Gunther Oettinger.

Hungarian Minister Heading the Prime Minister's Office Janos Lazar welcomed all the guests, as Director of the Central Coordination Unit of the Bulgarian government Ivan Ivanov, the Czech delegation to the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the CoR's Commission for territorial cohesion policy and EU budget (COTER), Croatian Regional Development and EU Funds Minister, Czech Minister of Regional Development Klara Dostalova and many others.

“There is no insurmountable difference between Hungary’s goals and the European Union’s budget plans; Europe still needs a cohesion policy that balances out the developmental differences between member states”, Minister heading the Prime Minister’s Office János Lázár said following the V4+4 summit in Budapest, at which representatives of eight countries held talks with EU Commissioner Günther Oettinger.
