France-Germany: towards reissue of the Elysée Treaty
On January 22 parliaments want to revive friendship agreement

(ANSA) - BERLIN - The Bundestag and the French National
Assembly want to pursue, with a new resolution, a reissue of the
Franco-German friendship treaty, in order to strengthen
relations between Paris and Berlin.
On 22 January, on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the Elysée Treaty - the agreement that established friendship between the two peoples in 1963 - the German and French parliaments will meet in a special session, to strengthen their friendship, CDU, SPD an Green MEPs announced, cited by the DPA.
It was president Emmanuel Macron, in his speech on Europe, who proposed a new edition of the Élysée Treaty. (ANSA).
