(ANSA) - CARROZ (FRANCE) - Cultural cooperation between France and Bulgaria gets started in the Alpine village of Carroz, that is hosting an event which aims to transfer knowledge between the two countries through mutual artistic and creative exchange.

In the last two weeks, more than 30 artists including musicians, painters, sculptors, directors and chefs from Bulgaria presented their art and thus contributed to the development of the Franco-Bulgarian tourism.

This initiative, among other things, marks a turning point in the France-Bulgaria cooperation after Bulgaria's entry into the European Union.

On January 4, international authorities attended the official event in the evening and enthusiastically supported this creative exchange. Among them: Anguel Tcholakov, Ambassador of Bulgaria in Paris, Marc Iochum, Mayor of the ski resort of Carroz, French Senator Loic Herve and Philippe Poettoz, general manager of the Carroz Tourist Office. ''We thank France for warm hospitality, and we believe that this kind of initiatives help European citizens to come together'', said Ambassador Angel Tcholakov in front of a sizable audience.

''All these people who are working together, by combining their art, their stories and traditions show that Europe is now more than ever able to have a constructive dialogue and make diversity an engine of progress''. (ANSA).
