(ANSA) - LUBIANA - Slovenia's Mercator, multinational large-scale retail trade company, intends to increase revenues by 3% in the period 2018-2021, the group (whose owner is Croatian) reported through a press release. The group also reported that revenues amounted to 1.7bn euros in the first nine months of the year.

According to forecasts, over half of the revenues in the period 2018-2021 will be generated in Slovenia, a third in Serbia and the remainder in the other markets of the former Yugoslavia, where the group is now operating.

Mercator will continue to focus on new modern business technologies and services that, according to the press release, have already had a positive impact on business. Investments in innovation and the restructuring and reorganization of new stores will go hand in hand. The process of selling some of the company's assets will continue to reduce exposure to banks, so as to allow new investments, especially in the new Ljubljana-based logistics and distribution hub.
