Security: Italian policemen at Innsbruck's Christmas market

Collaboration between Bozen and Tyrol police continues

06 December, 12:34
(ANSA) - BOLZANO - As usual, even during Advent, given the large number of Italian tourists visiting the Christmas markets in Innsbruck, two police officers from Bozen/Bolzano will patrol the Tyrolean capital city for seven days, alongside the Tyrolean colleague.

The bilateral cross-border cooperation agreement between Austria and Italy, also provides for the possibility of personnel exchanges between the two countries, with the aim of developing mutual knowledge of working methods and collaboration. In this framework, the Bozen/Bolzano police chief Giuseppe Racca and the director of the Tyrol police Helmut Tomac have indeed agreed to send to Innsbruck two Italian officers, whose presence is considered essential to handle situations of different kinds that could impact on thousands of visitors, and fully achieve shared results.
