Serbia: PM, don't ask us to choose between East and West

Brnabic at FT, our ties with Moscow do not hinder EU membership

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - Serbia should not be asked to choose between the West and Russia, premier Ana Brnabic said, pointing out that the close ties that Serbia has with Moscow do not hinder its path towards EU membership. ''We are neither pro-American nor pro-Russian, but we have a pro-Serbian approach'', Brnabic said in an interview with the Financial Times. ''Our strategic focus is on joining the EU, and that is what we say everywhere and to all those we talk to''. According to London-based newspaper, paper, ''with the the reform specialist Ana Brnabic at the helm of the government, a signal was sent that EU membership is Serbia's most important goal''.(ANSA).
