Kosovo: measles epidemic, two dead so far

It mostly affected Roma children. Vaccination appeal

(ANSA) - PRISTINA - Measles epidemic hit Kosovo, the first in the last 16 years, which has caused two deaths. Local media reported that the cases recorded are more than one hundred so far, and measles is mostly affecting children from the Roma community. Authorities strengthened health controls and put in place a vaccination campaign. Health Minister Uran Ismaili went to the Infectious Disease Clinic in Pristina, calling on parents to vaccinate their children in order to prevent the situation from deteriorating. (ANSA).
