(ANSA) - ROME - From the complex of Orheiul Vechi cave monasteries - a candidate to be declared UNESCO World Heritage - to the medieval fortress of Soroca; from the orthodox monastery of Noal Neamtu to Tiraspol, the capital of the Transnistria region - where the Soviet past is revived through its most famous symbols, from the statues of Lenin to the Duma - to the valuable winegrowers and underground cellars of Cricova and Milestii Mici which entered the Guinness Book of Records for their underground galleries where millions of bottles are kept.

Moldova is being introduced to the Italian tourist market.

For the first time ever, the country will participate from 12 to 14 October, at the 54th edition of the ''TTG Incontri'' in Rimini, meeting point for the tourism and travel industry. ''Moldova participates in TTG Incontri for the first time, and we are ready, along with our exhibitors, to present this country to Italian operators together'', said Diana Lazr, deputy chief of the Moldova Competitiveness Project. Moldova, being a safe country, less frequented by mass tourism, offers a healthy natural environment and well preserved rural lifestyle reachable by plane in two hours from Italy. (ANSA).
