Bulgaria, VMRO against construction of a new mosque in Sofia
'Sofia is a democratic, free and European capital'

(ANSA) - SOFIA - "VMRO will oppose any attempts to build a
new mosque in central Sofia," the party said as reported by Bta
press agency.
"We respect every religion but regard the idea of a new mosque in central Sofia as disrespectful of the Muslims themselves," the declaration reads as reported by Bta press agency. VMRO are adamant that they will not allow anybody to alter the skyline of Sofia "as a democratic, free and European capital which stands up for its history and values". (ANSA).
