Slovenia: 5 bids for 49% Slovenian Railways

Proposals from Russia, Poland, the Czech Rep., Germany, France

(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Five non-binding offers have been submitted to buy 49% stake in Slovenian Railways company. The bids are from the Russian railway company RZD, the Polish railway company PKP, the Czech EPH holding, the German company Hamburger Hafen und Logistic, and the French railway company SNCF. Slovenian Railways is looking for a strategic partner to expand its business in Italy, Austria and the Balkans. The choice of the new strategic partner will be probably announced at the end of 2017.
